New Mornington Peninsula & Yarra Valley and  profiles

Recently we have added some of our favourite Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula stops to our website.

Mornington Peninsula

Jimmy Rum

The Peninsula’s first rum distillery is a real hit with guests, not only for the delicious and varied rums but for the excellent tasting experience.  Although new on the block, these guys really know how to treat groups and give a fun tasting while also being really informative about rum, an often misunderstood spirit.

Green Olive

They do make wine here but the main attraction here is the food, which is largely sourced from their market garden and livestock. They’re all about local seasonal food and this, combined with the lovely setting and kid friendly grounds are what keep the punters coming back.

The Cups Estate

A stunning view over the olive grove is the first thing you see when you come from the carpark. The Cups is set-up to really take advantage of it’s location, with outdoor seating and big glass windows in the restaurant. The restaurant is the main game here, it is often packed, but the service remains friendly and attentive. Tastings are also available here.

Squitchy Lane

Small and friendly, with top quality wines, Squitchy Lane is a little known gem in the back blocks of Gruyere. The wines are some of the most awarded in The Valley. Walking into the small cellar door, it has a homely feel with a great view.

Helen’s Hill

Nicely situated in a bush setting near the vines at Helen’s Hill, the cellar door is spacious with a large deck. The atmosphere is friendly and casual, with wines to suit most tastes and price points.
