If you’re someone who wants to enjoy a really stunning view and equally stunning wine, then this estate is probably right up your alley. The vibe here is really laidback, making it an enjoyable pit stop for groups of friends out to enjoy their day together.

If you’re after a laidback and fun tasting with beautiful views, this is for you. Their recently refurbished cellar door (previously Sticks Yarra Valley) offers a fantastic casual wine tasting experience that is equally relaxed and tranquil.

Beverages

Originally hailing from Heathcote, Greenstone Vineyards still carries a bit of their roots with them in their selection of wines. And it’s lucky they do, as their big Heathcote reds are a nice change from the usual Yarra Valley offering.

They’ve still got plenty of local classics too, all in all delivering a solid selection that will keep nearly all punters very happy.

Setting

Greenstone offers pretty spectacular views over the Yarra Valley, with the Dandenong Ranges peeking through in the background. This is a great backdrop to encounter while completing your wine tasting, or after pulling up a picnic rug on their grassy plains.

What we like

Sometimes you just want to drink in beautiful views while drinking beautiful wines, and that’s what Greenstone offers; no added pretence, no additional expectations or complications. They have a refreshingly laidback atmosphere that makes it easy for anyone to unwind. Live music on Sunday’s is also a great addition.

They are also one of the few vineyards that allow guests to BYO Picnic Hampers to enjoy alongside a drink and one of their cheese plates. Great for those who might be on a budget.

What we don’t like

Tastings can sometimes be a bit hit and miss on the detail but for the right group this won’t matter too much as they will be too busy taking in the view.
