Many Hands Winery: Welcome Home

Review

Address: 2 Maxwells Rd, Coldstream VIC 3770

Varieties: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon/Franc

Experience

The warmth and hospitality that greets you upon arrival at Many Hands is undeniable and immediately makes you feel right at home at this family owned and operated boutique vineyard. Owners Jenny & Tony welcome guests with open arms and an open table, typical of what you might come to expect from an Italian pizzeria, only set amongst the all-consuming rows upon rows of vines.

Beverages

The focus at Many Hands is clear, they keep their offering minimal, but with great care and precision with Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon/ Franc blend. The grapes are harvested by hand and the whole process from picking to bottling occurs at their onsite facility. The resulting wines are a shining expression of this care and attention to detail.

Food

Traditional Italian wood-fired pizza is what Many Hands does very well. Using quality ingredients and fresh produce, the flavour certainly jumps right off the plate! Tony fastidiously ensures every pizza is perfect before it hits the table, along with traditional Italian antipasto platters, you certainly won’t leave here hungry.

Setting

With stunning vine views from every window of the restaurant at Many Hands, it really is the ideal setting for that perfect day in the valley. You can also head outdoors and perch yourself by a wine barrel, to experience the delight of a relaxed wine tasting overlooking the vineyard.

What we like

Being a family owned and operated winery and restaurant, you really get the feeling that every effort is being made to ensure you have the best possible experience when you visit. You are coming face to face with the people who live and breathe winemaking and hospitality as a passion, not just a business.

What we don’t like

You won’t taste a vast array of varieties at this cellar door – but what they do, they do well. So no complaints from us.
